FIN1010 – Personal Financial Information
Level: Introductory
Prerequisite: None
Description: Students explore concepts that affect the finances of an individual, including
a code of conduct, the economic environment, acquiring and using financial
resources and the effects of government legislation.
Assessment
Basic competencies are assessed throughout the course. Look at the Basic Competencies Rubric to familiarize yourself with what is expected.
The assessment for this course is based on the assignments and reflections for each module as well as meeting the basic competencies for the course. Weightings are as follows:
- Assignments and Reflections – 50%
- Financial Plan – 40%
- Basic Competencies – 10%
The CITY
Go to The CITY website and create an account.
To create the account, you will need a real, valid email address. If you don’t have an email address, sign up for one:
Your class code is: CQRDKH
Once you have created the account, you must check your email and click on the link they send you to activate your account. If you don’t see an email from “thecity” check your junk mail folder.
Once the account is active, you need to do the Pre-Assessment online activity.
